Toronto Star: Landmark homeless Charter challenge may never be heard if government wins bid to quash case
“This is a case about some of the most disadvantaged people in Ontario and in Canada,” said CERA spokeswoman Leilani Farha. “We view the court as the last line of defence.”
“This may be an uphill battle,” she added. “But I don’t think any of us want to live in a country where our Charter is deemed not to protect the most disadvantaged.”
